Before washing a knitted hat, it is best to pat off the dust and soak it in cold water for ten to twenty minutes. After taking it out, squeeze out the excess water and gently rub it in water with laundry detergent. Finally, rinse it with clean water. This is to protect the color of the knitted hat yarn and avoid fading. We can also add two drops of household vinegar to the water to wash away the smell of the yarn and avoid color fading.
There is another way to wash knitted yarn hats with tea, which not only washes away dust, but also prevents the yarn hats from fading and has a longer service life.
Drying after washing is also an issue that cannot be ignored. Remember not to hang it on a clothes rack for drying. Knitted yarn hats are the same as sweaters, and improper handling can easily cause deformation. Knitted hats should avoid direct sunlight exposure, especially white ones. It is best to air dry them square, otherwise they will fade.
